By all means, do your own marketing. Learn about SEO, WordPress, and GMB. Figure out Facebook Ads, Facebook Business, and Facebook Pixel on your own. Try your hand at Google Analytics, Google Ads, and the whole Google Suite. Give video shooting, editing, and publishing a try. Don’t forget to do your keyword research, learn basic HTML, enter your META tags, and write some excellent copy. Ensure your website is beautiful so customers love it, and up-to-date so it doesn’t crash, but also fast enough before your potential customers bounce. Have fun with GoDaddy support, custom code issues, and creating your mailing list. All while running your business.

Just don’t be surprised when you don’t see much return for your effort. A lot of effort. An I-feel-like-shooting-myself-right-now amount of effort.

Or you could hire a company like YellowPages… until you read the numerous horror stories and realize it would be the second-worst decision of your online life - right after giving a stranger your online banking password.
